Assigning to @fph in order to do anything required to get proposals/drafts/etc. from Katharineum students. Ideally, we should have news within two weeks, so we can use the logo or a draft at FOSDEM and CLT.
Here are two logo drafts, or better, one base draft in two variants.
The base for the logo is a regular, antique, Greek building, with a clock in its roof to make it look more like a school. In fact, that's pretty much what they looked like - like a temple with a clock ;).
Both logos can be colorised in different ways:
In greyscale, like depicted below for simplicity
In a colour palette built from the primary and secondary CI colours of the school or whatever
In monochrome, e.g. white, to use it as an icon
In small variants, the details of the clock can be removed.
Variant 1 - Antique school building with upwards chart
The first (left) variant has the columns of the building stylised as a bar chart, with an arrow reinstating the meaning like a chart with an upwards trend. It symbolises both that AlekSIS works with data, and that it makes everything better.
Variant 2 - Antique school building with compass
The second (right) variant has the three middle columns replaced by a compass, to visualise the relation to schools and education even better. The ruler in its middle makes up the horizontal line of the letter A (for AlekSIS).
