Promote free TOTP app instead of Google Authenticator
Promote Aegis Authenticator, a FLOSS app available in F-Droid AND Google PlayStore, instead of Google Authenticator.

I think we should also, but not only, mention Google Authenticator because it is the most common used TOTP app afaik.
That alone does not justify promoting it.
However, I see no reason not to promote Google Authenticator itself. It is an entirely free and open application not linked to Google services, and just being a FOSS project initiated by Google does not make it evil.

- 3b1c94f2 - Promote free TOTP app instead of Google Authenticator
https://github.com/google/google-authenticator-android:
This project is an open source fork of the Google Authenticator Android app on the Play Store. While this fork is open source, the official version of the app still remains proprietary.
The PlayStore version, the one you, as a normal user, install, is proprietary. Also Aegis is available in F-Droid.
And I see no reason to promote Google (that is what you do, when you promote Google Authenticator) which we all know is 'evil' (Google services etc.), even if they have many open-source projects.
I chose it because it's easy to use and has a small apk size. Additionally it seems to look similar to Google Authenticator which could make a switch easier for the user. But feel free to suggest another app. Or should we write 'for example use any TOTP app from F-Droid'? It would be the option I would like most, because it just promotes the standard (TOTP), not a specific app, but I could imagine that you want to have it a bit easier/clearer for the user.

I don't have an opinion on this topic, so either close or decide this @nik.

@nik Change the 'Aegis' to 'Google Authenticator' in your sentence
And why do we explicitly promote Aegis, in contrast to any other of the many TOTP apps?
and answer that question, while keeping the following in mind:
the official version of the app still remains proprietary.
And that an F-Droid user couldn't find Google Authenticator.
